Now to get to the real fun part! Personalization: Remember that for each subscriber you can store as many custom fields; each and every single one custom field, can be used in an email content. For example: Hello ##fullname|default:"dear user"## will be transformed in Hello Catalin Constantin. Email content can be personalized in real time, right before it gets sent, by using a callback to your database system for "real time" updated content. The possibilities are endless. In order to take the personalization part to the next level we've implemented something we call eFilters, which are small Python programs which are executed (one or many) and can take update "any" part of an email, not just the body (html or text), but also the email headers, like, To:, From:, Subject:. We have some quite interesting eFilters already made. Example: Google (Gmail), images src eFilter: "iterate through all remote referred images and update the URL to use our SSL Image CDN".
